Resuming Indonesia Snorkel Safaris: October 2022

Arrival Requirements:

  • Indonesia has a prolonged and measured approach for reopening international tourism. At the moment, the government has implemented a ban on all foreign visitors. This ban is expected to be in place until December 31, 2021. There has yet to be an official announcement on when the country will reopen, and as such, Snorkel Ventures has tentatively scheduled the restart of our Indonesia Snorkeling Safaris for October 2022.

Belize

Resuming Belize Snorkel Safaris: May 2021

Arrival Requirements:

All travelers—except those arriving from Bangladesh or India— are permitted to visit Belize at this time.

All travelers must:

  • All vaccinated and unvaccinated travelers entering Belize will be required to present a negative COVID-19 test.
  • Accepted COVID-19 Tests at the moment are the PCR Test, and the Rapid Antigen Test.
    • COVID-19 PCR tests must be taken within 96 hours of departure.
    • Rapid Antigen tests must be taken within the last 48 hours before departure.
  • Travelers who do not have a negative test will be given one upon arrival. The cost is $50 USD and will be at your expense.
  • All international tourists must book a stay at a Gold Standard Hotel and present confirmation at immigration. The Raddison Fort George, both Belize Aggressor liveaboards, and Turneffe Island Resort all have the Gold Standard.
  • Upon entry, you will undergo a quick health screening, temperature check, and test results review.
  • Should you be arriving in Belize early, and your COVID test ‘expires’ before your scheduled Snorkel Safari, you may be required to take another COVID test prior to joining the vessel or resort at your own expense.

Departure Procedures:

Liveaboard Snorkel Safaris

  • For travelers to the USA (and other countries that accept Antigen test results), a medical lab tech will visit the yacht shortly after it returns to the dock to administer the test. The lab will email the results that evening. The cost is USD 80, and the yacht will add it to your onboard account. For countries that require a PCR test, this test is available as well. PCR Test results are currently taking 24-36 hours. The cost of the test is USD 230. The test will be done onboard the yacht.

Resort Snorkel Safaris

  • For travelers to the USA (and other countries that accept Antigen test results), a medical lab tech will be waiting for us upon our arrival back at the Raddison Fort George Hotel where they will do the testing. The lab will have the results within 30-45 minutes. The cost is $87.50 USD. For countries that require a PCR test, this test is also available also. PCR Test results are currently taking up to 2 hours. The cost of the test is $250 USD.

Egypt

Egypt Snorkel Safaris: Egypt Snorkel Safari

Resuming Belize Snorkel Safaris: October 2022

Arrival Requirements:

  • Passengers arriving from Argentina, Australia, Bolivia, Brazil, Canada, Chile, China (People’s Rep.), Colombia, Ecuador, France (Paris only), Germany (Frankfurt only), Guyana, Italy (Rome only), Japan, Korea (Rep.), Mexico, New-Zealand, Paraguay, Peru, Suriname, Thailand, USA, United Kingdom (London Heathrow only), Uruguay or Venezuela must have the original paper certificate of a negative COVID-19 RT-PRC test taken at most 96 hours before the departure of the last direct flight to Egypt. The test must be based on a nasal or oral swab.
    • The test must have:
      • the hour and date of the withdrawal of the sample;(which is the date on which arrival window will be counted)
      • be issued by an authorized accredited laboratory
      • must contain the laboratory’s stamp OR a QR code with the required passenger details.
      • indicate the type of sample taken for the swab,
      • indicate the type of test used (RT-PCR)
      • The certificate is accepted in English, French, or Arabic.
  • This does not apply to passengers with a COVID-19 vaccination certificate showing that they were fully vaccinated at least 14 days before departure.
    • Vaccines accepted are:
      • AstraZeneca, Janssen (J&J), Moderna, Pfizer, Sinopharm, Sinovac, or Sputnik V
      • The vaccine certificate must be in Arabic, French, or English; and have a QR code, or must be approved y the Egyptian Embassy in the country of departure.

*Note: At the moment, vaccine cards from the United States and many other countries do not come with a QR code option, so, we ask that all vaccinated Snorkel Venture guests receive an RT-PCR test and follow the above COVID-19 testing requirements for entry into Egypt to avoid any complications.

  • Passengers arriving from a country other than:
    • Argentina, Australia, Bolivia, Brazil, Canada, Chile, China (People’s Rep.), Colombia, Ecuador, France (Paris only), Germany (Frankfurt only), Guyana, Italy (Rome only), Japan, Korea (Rep.), Mexico, New-Zealand, Paraguay, Peru, Suriname, Thailand, USA, United Kingdom (London Heathrow only), Uruguay or Venezuela must have a printed negative COVID-19 RT-PCR test taken at most 72 hours before departure of the last direct flight to Egypt.
    • The test must have:
      • The hour and date of the withdrawal of the sample; (which is the date on which the arrival window will be counted)

  • Visas on arrival services are open. eVisas purchased in advance are also available from visa2egypt.gov.eg
  • All travelers will be required to submit a traveler’s declaration including a questionnaire on information on trips undertaken in the 14 days before coming to Egypt and a confirmation that the passengers have not shown any symptoms of COVID-19 or knowingly been in touch with coronavirus patients.
  • All travelers will need to have international medical insurance covering their stay in Egypt.

Mexico

Arrival Procedures:

  • Currently, Mexico does not have any special COVID-19 arrival procedures.
  • You may have your temperature taken upon arrival and may be asked to fill out a questionnaire, but that is the extent of it at this moment in time.

Departure Procedures:

  • For those guests returning to the United States or any other country that requires a COVID-19 test prior to departure, we will have all testing logistics organized in advance.

Tonga & Fiji

Arrival Procedures:

  • Passengers who in the last 15 days have only been in Australia, Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Croatia, Cyprus, Czechia, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, French West Indies, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Ireland, Israel, Italy, Japan, Korea, Latvia, Lebanon, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, Mayotte, Netherlands, New Caledonia, New Zealand, Poland, Portugal, Reunion, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia, Singapore, Spain, Sweden, United Kingdom, or the USA are allowed to enter the country.
  • All arriving passengers from the above list of countries must have a COVID-19 vaccination certificate showing they were fully vaccinated with AstraZeneca, Moderna, or Phizer at least 14 days before departure, or fully vaccinated with Janssen (J&J) at least 28 days before departure.
  • All passengers must complete an “ETIS Application” at least 6 days and at most 30 days before departure.
  • All passengers must have:
    • a negative COVID-19 RT-PCR test taken at most 72 hours before departure from the first embarkation point; or
    • a negative COVID-19 antigen test taken at most 48 hours before departure from the first embarkation point.
  • All passengers must have a completed sworn statement obtained at https://tinyurl.com/ytuat2th
  • Passengers are subject to a COVID-19 antigen test upon arrival

Arrival Procedures:

  • All travelers must provide valid proof of full COVID-19 vaccination, with the final dose received at least 14 days prior to arrival in Palau. Vaccine records must clearly show dates and number of doses received as well as vaccine brand that is either US FDA or WHO approved or authorized for COVID-19.
  • All travelers are also required to provide valid negative PCR COVID-19 test results taken within three (3) days of departure to Palau or proof of COVID-19 recovery if previously infected with COVID-19.
  • All travelers must provide a valid address and contact information in Palau.
  • All travelers must stay with a “Pandemic Certified” establishment during their first five(5) days upon arrival.
    • The Cove Resort and Palau Aggressor II are both “Pandemic Certified” establishments.
  • All travelers must wear a face mask during their first five(5) days upon arrival and undergo mandatory COVID-19 testing on the fifth(5th) day after arrival, prior to boarding the Palau Aggressor II.
  • Passengers who can not produce their mandatory 5th day COVID test results will be denied boarding.

Departure Procedures:

  • Testing services prior to departure from Palau are currently being arranged. We will post details as soon as they are available.

Philippines

Honduras

Honduras Snorkel Safaris: Roatan & Utila Snorkeling Safari

Arrival Restrictions:

  • Passengers arriving from or who in the past 21 days have been in South Africa or the United Kingdom are not allowed to enter.
  • Passengers must have a negative COVID-19 test taken at most 72 hours before arrival.
    • Accepted tests are ELISA and RT-PCR
    • This does not apply to passengers with a COVID-19 vaccination certificate showing that they were fully vaccinated at least two weeks prior to arrival.
    • Vaccinated passengers must present the original card that was given to you at the site where they were vaccinated.
  • A completed “Immigration Pre-Check” must be presented upon arrival. The form can be submitted online before departure at http://prechequeo.inm.gob.hn
    • All travelers will need to print out and travel with the completed form that will be e-mailed to you.
  • All passengers must comply with the protocol established in the International Health Regulations at the time of entry into the country (clinical evaluation and mandatory quarantine) if the health authority determines so.

Departure Procedures:

  • For travelers to the USA (and other countries that accept Antigen test results), a medical lab tech will visit the yacht shortly after it returns to the dock to administer the test. The lab will email the results that evening. The cost is $60 USD, and the yacht will add it to your onboard account. For countries that require a PCR test, the procedure is the same, only the price is $250 USD and results may take anywhere from 12-36 hours.
